Written by: Kim Sung-dong and Lee Seung-guk

List of Cameos:
Besides the main cast, there are a number of actors and K-pop singers and groups who make cameos in the film as themselves.
They are:
Kim Sung-oh as soldier 2 at Vinyl House, Baby V.O.X., Brown Eyes, CAN, Chakra, Click-B, Fin.K.L, Harisu, Kangta, Koyote, NRG, Shinhwa, UN, and Psy
Plot:
Troubled by the growing worldwide trend of pop singers being elected as politicians, the President of South Korea orders his Chief Secretary to invoke "Emergency Act 19". This new law criminalizes all pop singers, and the army is deployed on the streets of Seoul to round them up. One pop star, Hong Kyung-min, is arrested while performing a concert, but his angry fans mob the soldiers as they try to take him away. The Chief Secretary's teenage daughter, Min-ji, is amongst the fans, and leading her idol to safety gives him her phone number. Kyung-min finally makes a getaway with his friend and fellow pop star, Kim Jang-hoon.
Once Jang-hoon and Kyung-min become fully aware of the situation, they contact Min-ji, who is able to hide the two singers in a secret location. The Chief Secretary finds out that his daughter is working against him, and when she refuses to give them up, he has false news reports created, accusing the singers of sexually assaulting minors. Meanwhile, more pop stars are rounded up by the authorities who are now aided by another singer, Ju Yeong-hun, who decides to betray his friends in order to save himself.
Angered by their tarnished reputations, Jang-hoon and Kyung-min acquire a gun from a shady weapons dealer, and with Min-ji's help they are able to take the Chief Secretary and his staff hostage. They take their captives to the park, where Min-ji has organized a mass demonstration with her friends and other music fans. The army arrive on the scene and engage the demonstrators in conflict, finally capturing Jang-hoon and Kyung-min. The Chief Secretary is able to walk free in all the chaos, but he is appalled by the violence and orders the fighting to stop, convincing the President to repeal the emergency act and restoring peace.
I couldn't find this movie with subs anywhere. I usually watch kdramas but found it on YouTube in 2 parts without eng subs.
If anyone knows where I could watch this movie fully with eng subs would be very helpful.

This movie is based on events that happened in South Korea during the 1970s and 1980s with censorship during the Park Chung Hee Presidency (1961-1979) and Chun Doo Hwan Presidency (1980-1988).
This blog explains a bit about how Seotaji combatted censorship after the 1980s.
More about the censorship during the 1980s in South Korea.
This blog is about the evolution of Korean music in the 70s to the 80s with censorship
The wiki about the Amergency Act 19 (긴급조치 19호) movie.
Should probably go into more detail about this topic, but it gets very long and can be very confusing, and I would rather explain this in my Korean music history on male and female groups.

South Korean martial law probe exposes plans to “provoke” North Korea into attack, police say
An investigation into South Korea’s failed martial law has uncovered plans to “provoke” North Korea into an attack, police said on Monday.
South Korea’s former military intelligence chief Noh Sang-won was at the centre of a high-profile investigation after police found his notebook containing plans that suggested North Korea would provoke him to attack.
Those notes, containing about 60-70 pages, were found at his home in the city of Ansan. Yonhap News Agency, citing law enforcement agencies, reported that one of the notes mentioned a plan to “provoke the North to attack the NLL,” which likely refers to the North’s Yellow Sea boundary line, which South Korea considers its de facto maritime border.
The materials also include plans to blockade South Korea’s National Assembly, as well as lists of individuals – politicians, journalists, clerics and activists – whom the author presumably considered necessary to arrest. However, the notebook does not explicitly indicate the drafting of a decree to impose martial law, which had previously been the subject of speculation.
But Sang-won was known as an associate of former defence minister Kim Yong-hyun, who has previously advocated martial law and is currently under investigation on charges of attempted mutiny. Opposition politicians say the materials may be part of a wider plan to consolidate power through the use of military measures.
Police have yet to confirm whether actual action was taken to provoke North Korea. However, South Korean media earlier reported a disagreement between Defence Minister Kim Yong-hyun and Kim Myung-soo, chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. The latter refused to carry out orders to open warning fire and strike locations where debris balloons were launched, which allegedly served as a pretext for escalation. The Ministry of Defence rejected the allegations, calling them groundless.

More than a week after Yoon’s attempted coup, the South Korean president is digging in his heels and refusing to quit. Yoon is now under investigation for insurrection, and he is under a travel ban so that he cannot leave the country. The disgraced president delivered another speech in which he repeated many of the same deranged claims he made when he declared martial law. He has vowed to “fight to the end.” Yoon’s party shielded him from impeachment last week, but that support has crumbled as more details about the coup have come to light and Yoon refuses to resign:
South Korea’s ruling party has thrown its support behind attempts to impeach embattled President Yoon Suk Yeol over his ill-fated decision to declare martial law that sparked a political crisis and widespread public anger in the country.
It seems likely that the second impeachment attempt will be successful. Yoon cannot continue as president after what he did, and he should be out of office soon. Fortunately, his attempt to smash the opposition with martial law failed and destroyed what remained of his presidency in the process. It’s clear that electing Yoon was a terrible mistake, but with any luck South Korea will not have to live with that mistake for much longer.
The fallout from the attempted coup has been swift. Following his arrest, the former defense minister, Kim Yong-hyun, attempted suicide in jail, but he was stopped from ending his life. There are reports that the former defense minister was attempting to provoke a crisis with North Korea earlier this year to create a pretext for a martial law declaration:
South Korea’s former defence minister Kim Yong-hyun ordered a drone deployment to North Korea to lay the ground for martial law declaration, it has been alleged. Park Beom-kye, a lawmaker from the main opposition Democratic Party, said on Monday that Mr Kim ordered the deployment of drones to the North Korean capital Pyongyang in October, hoping to instigate a retaliatory attack from the North and use it to justify last week’s martial law declaration.
If true, Yoon and Kim’s plans for a power grab were even more dangerous than we realized last week. It is fortunate that North Korea didn’t take the bait. If they were willing to go that far to create an excuse for a coup it shows that Yoon and his allies threaten both South Korean democracy and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Hardliners often pose more of a threat to the security of their country than anyone else.

Mr Yoon avoided impeachment on Saturday after most governing party lawmakers boycotted a floor vote in the National Assembly. If he is impeached, his presidential powers would be suspended until the Constitutional Court decides whether to restore them or remove him from office.

[ad_1] The head of South Korea’s ruling party has called for suspending powers of President Yoon Suk Yeol, citing “credible evidence” that he sought the arrest of political leaders after the imposition of martial law, Al Jazeera reported. People Power Party (PPP) leader Han Dong-hoon, who had earlier expressed his opposition to efforts to impeach Yoon, stated “newly emerging facts” had tipped the scales against Yoon Suk Yeol. Han said, “I learned last night the president ordered the defence counter-intelligence commander to arrest major political leaders, characterising them as antistate forces, and mobilised intelligence institutions in the process,” according to Al Jazeera report. He further said, “I have said that to prevent this country from descending into further chaos, I would try to stop the impeachment bill from passing this time.” PPP leader called it necessary to stop Yoon Suk Yeol from exercising his powers as South Korea’s President. He said, “But based on what has been revealed, to protect South Korea and our people, I believe it is necessary to stop President Yoon from exercising his powers as president promptly.” Han said that South Korea’s President did not acknowledge that imposition of martial law was illegal and wrong and there was a “significant risk” that he could make similar move again if he continues to remain in office. Martial law was declared in South Korea for about six hours on Tuesday after Yoon made the announcement in a televised address to the nation in which he cited threats from “antistate forces” and North Korean sympathisers The members of National Assembly mobilised for reversal of Yoon’s order in a 190-0 vote. South Korea’s President lifted order at about 4 am. However, he announced the decision after troops had descended on the National Assembly and scuffled with legislators and protesters. Yoon, who is facing impeachment, is currently under probe for treason along with the South Korea’s resigned Defence Minister Kim Yong-hyun, Army Chief of Staff General Park An-su and Interior Minister Lee Sang-min, Al Jazeera reported, citing local media reports. The statement of Han, who is South Korea’s Justice Minister and one of Yoon’s top rivals in the PPP, marks a shift in the ruling party’s response to the crisis. The opposition Democratic Party has called for a vote on Saturday night to impeach Yoon. However, it requires at least eight votes from the ruling party to reach two-thirds majority in the 300-member National Assembly. If the motion is successful, South Korea’s Constitutional Court will take a decision on whether to confirm Yoon’s removal from office, Al Jazeera reported. Until now, the ruling party had hinted it would oppose the impeachment of Yoon, with some analysts saying that lawmakers feared backlash for going against their own party, as it had happened after the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye in 2016. Later, Park was sentenced to 20 years in prison for corruption before she was pardoned. [ad_2] Source link

During the Park Chung-hee administration, he and Chun Doo-hwan formed Hanahoe, a private military organization. After President Park Chung-hee was assassinated in the 10.26 Incident and Prime Minister Choi Kyu-ha ascen데드 마운트 데스 플레이 다시 보기 1화 (애니)ded to the presidency, he led the 12.12 military rebellion following Chun Doo-hwan, and after Chun Doo-hwan took power, he turned to politics.
Right after the June Uprising, he announced the June 29 Declaration and accepted the constitutional amendment for direct presidential elections. On February 25, 1988, the 6th Republic of Korea was launched.
Upon inauguration as president, he accepted the theory of liquidating the 5th communist party, organized a large number of military personnel, reinstated a large number of opposition figures who were banned from political activities, expanded freedom of the press, and started to데드 마운트 데스 플레이 다시 보기 1화 (애니) integrate the middle. In line with the global atmosphere of détente, North Korea policy was implemented and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula was declared by signing the Inter-Korean Basic Agreement. He also established the basis for North Korea policy to be pursued by all governments of the 6th Republic, such as joining North Korea and the United Nations sim데드 마운트 데스 플레이 다시 보기 1화 (애니)ultaneously, and successfully hosted the 1988 Seoul Olympics. It is the first president not to use the expression, Mr. President, [19] and the first president to express himself as 'me' rather than 'me' when standing in front of the people, and is also the president who announces the end of the era of authoritarianism.
After resigning as president, he was arrested and indicted along with former President Chun Doo-hwan in 1995 on charges of leading the 12.12 military rebellion and 5.17 civil war. As a result, he became the first president arrested in constitutional history, but was pardoned by former President Kim Young-sam on December 22, 1997.
After undergoing surgery for prostate cancer in 2002, due to deteriorating health, he lived in seclusion, going back and forth between his home in Yeonhui-dong and the hospital. [21] In June 2007, he attended a banquet on the 20th anniversary of the June 29 Declaration, and was not seen at all in public or media.[22]
[23] As a result, the era of 1 No 3 Kim, who dominated the beginning of the 6th Republic of Korea, has completely disappeared into the dark side of history.[24] The slogan used in the presidential election, "The Great Age of Common People" is famous. Even though he was not a co데드 마운트 데스 플레이 다시 보기 1화 (애니)mplete dictator like Park Chung-hee and Chun Doo-hwan, Roh Tae-woo also had a strong military image, and he almost became like that. Even at the time of the presidential election, because of the enthusiasm for democratization, I was lagging behind Kim Young-sam and Kim Dae-jung in many areas, so I was struggling. It's not an exaggeration, so it can be seen as a modifier of gratitude to Roh Tae-woo in a way. Of course, at Roh Tae-woo's election camp, he encountered the slogan "ordinary person" and responded, "No, what kind of president does an 'ordinary person' do? Isn't his image too weak?" He said he really liked it, saying, "It's a phrase that I can approach comfortably."
The slogan "ordinary people" is approached in a particularly friendly way, and the influence of "ordinary people", the most popular drama in the early 1980s, mentioned in item 5, cannot be overlooked. This drama, which aired from 1982 to 1984, was the longest-running daily drama in history, with 491 episodes aired. Hwang Jeong-soon, Lee Soon-jae, Kim Min-ja, Kang Seok-woo, Yu Ji-in, Lee Young-ha, Geum Bo-ra, Song Jae-ho, Han Hye-sook, Jeong Han-yong, Han Jin-hee, Cho Yong-won, and Tae Hyun-sil, etc., gained national popularity. enjoyed Roh Tae-woo's election strategists did not lose sight of the meaning of ordinary people in this drama, which warmly portrayed the economic development and the expansion of the middle class in the 1980s, and was a great success.
So, even after the presidential election, he wrote quite a lot at inauguration ceremonies and various speeches, and at the time of Roh Tae-woo's administration, Daehan News occasionally reported on ordinary people who did good deeds, using the modifier 'great ordinary people'. Hwang Jeong-soon, the heroine of the drama, participated in the 'Gathering of Ordinary People', an organization for Roh Tae-woo's election campaign. She was a symbol of Korea's economic growth leading to the drama Paldogangsan - Ordinary People and a symbol of wise mothers who persevered through hard times, so she played a role in softening the negative legacy of the military regime and highlighting the positive legacy. The people who lit the 1988 Seoul Olympic torch also paid much attention to the modifier, as many expected Sohn Kee-jung, but three ordinary people ignited it.[26] Because of that, comedians used this word quite a lot whenever they imitated Noh Tae-woo's voice, and he himself said, "It's okay to make me the subject of satire from now on." In terms of policy, it breaks the link with the 5th lesson and encourages meetings as in the paragraph above, and I myself have had frequent meetings with opposition figures such as Kim Young-sam and Kim Jong-pil, and have succeeded to some extent in breaking down the previous military regime and authoritarian image. The slogan remained as a symbol of Roh Tae-woo and the Roh Tae-woo government.[27]
As mentioned above, just as the president declared that he could use himself as a comedy material, his slogan, 'ordinary people', was parodied with the then satirical cartoonist Joo Wan-soo's 'ordinary gorilla'. It was mainly a book that satirized the distorted contradictions of society in the late 1980s in the form of a gorilla, and featured the following song lyrics in the middle.

Mr. Queen will be ending in two episodes, yet still the question of why Jang Bong Hwan found himself in Kim So Yong’s body remains unanswered. So is the question of what is happening to him in his own time and why he was targeted in the first place. There is also the question of what the mysterious Mr. Han (in both timelines) has to do with everything. And the ultimate question: who is it truly that lives in the Queen’s body? And who is it that loves King Cheoljong? I’m not sure if the drama would have enough time to go back and forth between eras and show us what’s happening to Jang Bong Hwan. It seemed to have conveniently swept under the rug the plotline involving Jang Bong Hwan as himself. There was a story there, a reason why someone framed him and tried to have him arrested. There is also the common denominator of a Mr. Han in both his lifetime and So Yong’s but I don’t know if the drama will ever use that as a plot twist to explain the connection between them. The drama makes it look like Jang Bong Hwan just accepted that he was now in another person’s body and living her life. It’s as if he just gave up on trying to go back to his own body and his own time. And of course, the idea of him just accepting the idea of “falling in love” with Cheoljong just smacks of an easy way out for the drama because it won’t have to go down the more complex route of explaining what’s really going on inside the mind of Kim So Yong when Jang Bong Hwan ended up sharing her body. I do have a personal theory about it. I think Kim So Yong isn’t dead, despite what Jang Bong Hwan seems to say about the old So Yong not being there anymore and all that. I think everything he’s feeling in her body, all the memories that assail him, and all the knowledge of the Joseon era that come so easily to him, are all hers. It doesn’t mean to say he’s lost his own memories and feelings and identity, but because he resides in her body, he is subject to her. I think Jang Bong Hwan resides in the conscious, while Kim So Yong is in the subconscious. This is probably the reason why, during unguarded moments that trigger intense emotional reactions from her, he seems to black out and doesn’t recall anything when he comes to, like that moment of the intense first kiss, or when Cheoljong and So Yong/Bong Hwan first made love. But I think So Yong’s trauma was so intense that her consciousness doesn’t want to come out. I seem to have read something like that somewhere, of a person locking his consciousness up in a “safe place” in his mind because of a trauma or shock he’s experienced. I hope they also find the time to explain what actually happened to So Yong before Bong Hwan occupied her body. There is a story there as well. The words that she spoke to Kim Byeong In when he found her weeping in the stables the day before her wedding speaks of deep emotional distress. So Yong was having a nervous breakdown that time. The Andong Kim clan, through Kim Jwa Geun and the Grand Queen Dowager, must have been behind her distress. As to what they did to her to reduce her to such a state, the drama doesn’t say. Maybe the bonus episodes will fill in the gaps. I hope so. In any case, I’m still going to continue watching it. It’s still a lot of fun, and Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun have great comedic and romantic chemistry. (I must admit that I like Kim Jung Hyun here a lot better than in CLOY and I much prefer his partnership with Shin Hye Sun than with Seo Ji Hye). I’m just not sure if the drama will stay true to history or give us a fictional happy ending for Kim So Yong as Queen Cheorin and King Cheoljeong. I don’t mind if they do that, but I hope it’s done without having to sacrifice the individual that is Jang Bong Hwan in the process.

ARTICLE TODAY‼️
[Newsen] '#BigMouth' Kim Joo-heon was the bad guy... 1st place in viewership ratings '10.2%'
[News Reporter Hwang Hye-jin] Actor Kim Joo-heon presented a shocking reversal.
The 10th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Big Mouse', aired on August 27, recorded 10.2% viewer ratings in the metropolitan area and 10% nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea.
In particular, the scene in which the plans of Park Chang-ho (Lee Jong Suk) and Go Mi-ho (Im Yoon-ah), who aimed at Big Mouse and Choi Do-ha (Kim Joo-heon), are revealed, recorded up to 13%, raising the sense of immersion to the highest level.
On this day's broadcast, Park Chang-ho and Go Mi-ho's great plan to catch both the real Big Mouse and Choi Do-ha, who destroyed the daily life of the family, began.
Park Chang-ho, who had thrown the bait to lead Big Mouse earlier, expected him to appear with a trembling heart. At the promised time, it was unexpectedly Park Yoon-gap (Jung Jae-sung) who appeared in front of Park Chang-ho. Park Chang-ho, who took out a tarot card that means 'deception' to confirm his identity, checked the symbol engraved on Park Yun-gap's arm and realized that he was just a minion, not a real Big Mouse. In the end, Park Chang-ho decided to take revenge on Big Mouse for ignoring even his last favor. He recorded the confession of Park Yoon-gap that he was Big Mouse and submitted it to Choi Do-ha and Choi Jung-rak (Jang Hyuk-jin), tying his hands and feet. In particular, the fact that Big Mouse was interested in the thesis of Seo Jae-yong (Park Hoon), who died, stimulated Choi Do-ha, and he meekly followed Park Chang-ho's instructions and turned the tide.
While Park Chang-ho struggled to bring Big Mouse to Yangji, Mi-ho Ko tried to find a link between Gucheon Hospital and Gucheon Prison. Her solid career and unshakable professionalism even in emergencies captured the hearts of her prison chief, Park Yoon-gap, and finally she was allowed to live with her husband Park Chang-ho in the same room.
Above all, in Gucheon Prison, only the prisoners taking nutritional supplements are suffering from strange diseases. Go Mi-ho, feeling suspicious of Tak Gwang-yeon (Yoo Tae-joo), a ferocious death row inmate, immediately collected his blood and asked a mysterious helper to test it. In addition, he created tension by boldly confronting Yoon-gap Park, who was trying to dig up information about Seo Jae-yong's secret thesis.
Upon hearing the news that her wife had transferred to Gucheon Prison, Park Chang-ho immediately met Mi-ho Ko and appealed to him to quit his job. However, in order to safely test the blood of inmates in Gucheon Prison, the help of Miho Go is absolutely necessary. At the same time, Choi Jung-rak, who properly opened the evidence thrown by Park Chang-ho, came to arrest Park Yoon-gap, and Park Chang-ho failed to convince Go Mi-ho.
While Park Yoon-gap was in custody, prison guard Gan Soo-cheol (Kim Dong-won) was appointed as the new prison warden with the support of Choi Do-ha, making us guess another uproar. While Park Chang-ho and Choi Do-ha, who captured Big Mouse's minions, make an uncomfortable friendship with Cheol, the chief of the new prison, Do-ha Choi's wife Hyun Joo-hee (played by Ja-yeon Ok) is on the verge of life and death due to someone's scheme.
Hyun Joo-hee, who caused a car accident in the same way as Park Chang-ho, was transported to the hospital, and her Choi Do-ha also left to meet her wife.
In particular, it was a shock when it was revealed that all of this was a trap dug by Chang-ho Park and Mi-ho Ko to deal with Big Mouse and Do-ha Choi at the same time, like the saying "I think we caught both of them according to our plan."
Park Chang-ho and Ko Mi-ho, who took both sides as planned, announced the start of a battle for revenge against Big Mouse and Choi Do-ha, who shook up their ordinary daily lives. As Park Chang-ho's framed escape project is running smoothly, the 'Big Mouth' couple's next plans are getting more and more elaborate.
The fierce battle between Lee Jong Suk and Lim Yoon-a, who started hunting in earnest, continues in episode 11, which will be broadcast at 9:50 pm on September 2nd.

Fulton County District Attorney will seek death penalty against Atlanta spa shooting suspect “I, along with my staff, have made a determination that this office will seek the death penalty,” Willis told reporters. “Last year, I told the voters of Fulton County that I could not imagine a circumstance where I would seek it. And at that time I did not.” “Unfortunately, a case has arisen in the first few months of my term that I believe warrants the ultimate penalty,” she added. Further, we have filed a notice that we will seek sentence enhancement, pursuant to Georgia’s sentencing enhancement statute, commonly referred to as a hate crime statute, based on the race and gender of the victims.” Willis said this is the law’s first application in Fulton County and, she believes, in the state. Willis said she is comfortable with the sentencing decision. “I have personally walked the crime scene in this case,” she told reporters. “I have spent more than six hours with the families involved in this case. We have reviewed the evidence, and I am comfortable in the decision that this is an appropriate sentence to seek.” Willis added, “The message that I hope we are sending is, It does not matter your ethnicity. It does not matter what side of the tracks you come from. It does not matter your wealth. You will be treated as an individual with value.” Stop AAPI Hate, a national coalition against anti-Asian racism, said in a statement that while AAPI hate persists women continue to report incidents at a disproportionate rate “in no small part due to the combination of racism and misogyny Asian American women experience.” “As our hearts still ache from the tragic Atlanta Spa Shootings, in which six Asian American women were murdered, we acknowledge the importance of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ decision to seek hate crime charges against Robert Aaron Long on the basis of both race and gender,” the statement said. Long also indicted in Cherokee County Long was also indicted in Cherokee County on four counts of malice murder, four counts of felony murder, 11 counts of criminal attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault, and aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and criminal damage to property in the first degree. The new law specifies enhanced penalties for crimes where victims were targeted for, among other things, race, gender, and sexual orientation. Seven of the victims killed in the spa shootings were women, and six of the victims were women of Asian descent. Some public officials had early on raised concerns that ethnicity had come into play in the shootings, particularly given a nationwide spike in anti-Asian violence during the coronavirus pandemic. Long, 21, of Woodstock, Georgia, is suspected of opening fire at the spas on the afternoon and early evening of March 16, first at a business about 30 miles northwest of Atlanta, followed by two more at spas in northeastern Atlanta. Long indicted on 19 counts in Fulton County Long was indicted for a total of 19 counts in Fulton County: Four charges for malice murder, four charges of felony murder, one charge for domestic terrorism, five charges for aggravated assault, and five charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the indictment. Peter Skandalakis, director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, said the enhanced hate crime penalty for homicide in the state is either maximum of life in prison with possibility of parole at 30 years, life without parole, or the death penalty. Skandalakis said he wasn’t aware of the law being used over the last year. His agency’s mission is to provide support to prosecutors. It will be up to a separate grand jury in Cherokee County to decide on charges for others killed in the shooting in Acworth, Georgia, that left four killed and one person wounded. Authorities in Cherokee County previously said that Long told investigators that the shootings were not racially motivated and told them he has a “sexual addiction.” Long’s appointed attorney could not immediately be reached for comment. Long was arrested the night of the shootings about 150 miles south of Atlanta, in a traffic stop on Interstate 75, authorities said. Suspect told deputies he had sex addiction and ‘issue with porn’ After his arrest, Long told investigators he believed he had a sex addiction and “an issue with porn,” and claimed to see the spas as “a temptation … that he wanted to eliminate,” Cherokee County sheriff’s Capt. Jay Baker said at the time. He was initially charged in Cherokee County with four counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault, according to the sheriff’s office. He also faced four counts of murder in Atlanta, according to city police. Sheriff Frank Reynolds of Cherokee County, where the Acworth shootings took place, told reporters Long indicated “he has some issues — potentially sexual addiction — and may have frequented some of these places in the past.” A law enforcement source told CNN shortly after the shootings that the suspect was recently kicked out of the house by his family due to his sexual addiction, which, the source said, included frequently spending hours on end watching pornography online. Shooting spree leaves eight dead Shortly before 5 p.m. on March 16, deputies were called to Young’s Asian Massage between the Georgia cities of Woodstock and Acworth after reports of a shooting, Cherokee County sheriff’s officials said. That shooting left four people dead — two Asian, and two White — and one person injured, Baker said. Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two died at a hospital. Killed were Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33, of Acworth; Paul Andre Michels, 54, of Atlanta; Xiaojie Tan, 49, of Kennesaw; and Daoyou Feng, 44. The injured survivor was Elcias R. Hernandez-Ortiz, 30, of Acworth, authorities said. About an hour later and 30 miles away, Atlanta police responded to what was described as a robbery at the Gold Massage Spa on Piedmont Road in Atlanta. Police said they found three people dead. While there, police received another call of shots fired across the street at the Aroma Therapy Spa, where they found one person dead, Bryant said. The victims were identified as Soon Chung Park, 74; Hyun Jung Grant, 51; Suncha Kim, 69; and Yong Ae Yue, 63, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. Investigators found surveillance video of a suspect near the Cherokee County scene and published images on social media. Long’s family saw the images, contacted authorities and helped identify him. He is being held without bond in Fulton County. Georgia’s new hate crime law was signed by Gov. Brian Kemp in 2020 following public outrage over the killing of Ahmaud Arbery. Georgia had been one of four states without a hate crime law. Nicquel Terry Ellis contributed to this report.
